Lily’s Pad Rescue

Fabulous foster of the week is Lillibet!

Lilibet is a 3–4-year-old English Bulldog who has spina bifida and wears a diaper.

Form Lilibet: "I have had a busy week taking all the toys into my bed and taking a lot of naps. Foster mom said we have to have some kennel time since she’s at work. I do really good in the kennel and enjoy my bone and a place to nap. The other dogs have been playing in the yucky rain. I am a sun girl so I don’t like going out in the rain as much.

Do you have a sunny place for me to get my rays in?? Summer is coming so it's the perfect time to adopt me and get our adventures in!

I like other dogs and kids! I wear diapers and am really good at the diaper changing routine! I've had some urinary tract infections but my foster mom has been good at getting those under control, but we will have to watch those signs together....don't worry, LPR will tell you all about it!"

OUR PROGRAMS

ADOPTION

Lily’s Pad Rescue takes in bulldogs of all kinds that are medically challenged with issues ranging from Spina Bifida (SB), Intervertebral Disk Disease (IVDD), Swimmer’s Syndrome to rehabilitate them (if necessary) and rehome. They are then placed with loving foster families until their forever home is found. Our ultimate goal for any of our rescues is to find them a loving and caring forever home that accepts them unconditionally. If you are interested in giving your heart to a very special pup, the first step is to complete an application. If you are not local to the dog’s foster, but you are the right family for one of these pups, then we will work with a our rescue partners to complete the home inspection and work with a transport team to get him or her to you. We would also Zoom, Skype or FaceTime with you to see your environment in real time. The only thing that may not be able to occur is the meet and greet with the pup, unless you were willing to come to us. You will have post adoption support by our Adoption Support team members.

ADOPTION PROCESS

  1. Fall in love with one of our available dogs!!

  2. Go to our website to fill out our online adoption application at: www.lilyspadrescue.org/adoption-form.

  3. Your application will be reviewed and, if approved, you will be contacted for a telephone or Zoom interview.

  4. If both parties agree to move forward, a meet and greet (if local) will be scheduled. Your references will be contacted and a home check set up by one of our team members. If out of state, then we will utilize our rescue partners and transport team.

  5. An adoption contract will be completed, adoption fee donated and then based on your location, your dog will be delivered to or picked up by you.

PAD SANCTUARY

In some situations, it is best for animals to join the Pad Sanctuary program. This program is in place for senior dogs, those with significant medical issues, or those that may have lost the only human they’ve ever known. Sanctuary dogs are able to live out their life with joy and gratitude at the Pad or in a Pawspice foster home. This program exists by the support of our donors. The medical and nutritional needs for these dogs is covered for life by the rescue. Please consider donating below via PayPal using the Friends and Family option. Lily’s Pad is a registered 501c(3) non profit organization, so your donations are 100% tax deductible. (Tax ID#: 81-3017855)
